How to Create a Ghost Town
I.
Turn the town into a photograph.
The people are still there
without being there.
The Sun still shines through the windows
into the bedrooms,
but no one is there to close the blinds when
the Sun goes down.
No one is there to look through the blinds.
II.
Run towards the unknown.
Leave the known behind,
and it will eventually sink into
the ocean of the land.
It will sink, sink, sink,
and maybe one day it will be a shipwreck
to be discovered and discussed in the history books
because there was no iceberg
to be seen for miles.
