The change in our pockets has bounced around for too long.
I'm living with all my nickels and dimes --
while you have your own dimes and pennies to tame.
But soon I will have quarters and dollars --
but you will still be the same.
From all the trips to the stores --
and the money well spent--
I’m saving my cash --
but yours came and went.
You said this time next year things will be different --
but all I’m hearing is gibberish.
A single penny doesn’t make a dime --
and in the end all I’m asking for is a little change.

The more you stay the same--
the more you seem to change--
don't you think it's strange?
