Odd things, like jars of Sharpies,
the three P’s of life, and Hawaii Five-0.
Camp things, Taco Tuesday, free time tanning
on the beach, and falling asleep to gentle
raindrops hitting the tin roof.
Piles of pictures depicting the sky
in hues of pink, orange, and blue,
with trees draped in snow,
and lakes glistening in the summer sun.
Holes in my heart where Annie, Chicago
and Camp should be.
Early mornings at volleyball, iced mocha in hand.
An appreciation for God’s superior strength.
Someone’s inevitable life story, maybe mine.
