Woman
I am a woman
They think of me as a flower, so beautiful yet so delicate
I am far more than a flower.
I am like a wolf
I am powerful and beautiful
A woman with intelligence.
They tell me to be strong, but it is quickly a problem when I put my power to use
When I do, I am suddenly too much
The men tell me to be quiet, they feel threatened now
The other women judge me, for finding my voice and using it
They are far too afraid to stand up and project their own voices
I too am guilty of hiding my feminism in my pocket, what is there to be afraid of?
They love the idea of a fierce woman and when they encounter one, they feel intimidated
And I don’t blame them
What is more fierce than a woman who is sure of herself and her desires?
I am a woman, I am a wildfire
Ready to destroy anyone who bashes women, simply for being women
We are all human, women are capable
I will not accept belittlement for being female, the future is female
I will project my voice
Strongly and loudly, so the world can hear me
I am a feminist. A person, who believes in the equality of women and men.
