The Earth’s Fire
Flames engorge the lifeless trees
And ash suffocates the land
The crows refuse to crow
The stench of death arrives
Lost in the smoke it all burns
The earth’s heat erupts abruptly
Pain and suffering longingly lingers
the cries ring out like booming echoes
As the inferno is lit within.
