The author's comments:
You might notice that this English-style haiku only uses words with the vowel A in them (with the exception of Y). This is called univocalism, a writing constraint technique invented by the Oulipo . Throughout the whole poem, only one vowel is used. I decided to make it more challenging by using the 7-5-7 syllable form. Oulipo is difficult, but a whole lot of fun! I hope this haiku inspires you to write your own univocal poem.
