The quick waves crash by
The bright moon glows in the dark
Sand crawls beneath me

I really like this one. The ocean's my haven, and this is a perfect description! :)

"You love someone, you open yourself up to suffering, that's the sad truth. Maybe they'll break your heart, maybe you'll break their heart and never be able to look at yourself in the same way. Those are the risks. The thought of losing so much control over personal happiness is unbearable. That's the burden. Like wings, they have weight, we feel that weight on our backs, but they are a burden that lifts us. Burdens which allow us to fly..."
-Dr. Jack Hodgins (Bones)

When I read this, I get a clear image in my mind and I feel like I am actually at the beach

"It's a saying they have, that a man has a false heart in his mouth for the world to see, another in his breast to show to his special friends and his family, and the real one, the true one, the secret one, which is never known to anyone except to himself alone, hidden only God knows where."
-James Clavell, "Shogun"

The imagery here is fantastic...I even feel the "beachy" climate. Well done.

Nice imagery here in such a short piece of writing; I also really like how it can be interpreted mayn different ways and doesn't have a set meaning

You've really set the scene in this haiku. I particularly liked the last line: "Sand crawls beneath me."

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, but learning to dance in the rain.

This is a really great haiku! I second everything that the others are saying. Great descriptive words! I hope you put some more work on here so we can read it! :)

"Everyone wants to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down."
— Oprah Winfrey

I can only repeat what others say. It's amazing how such a simplistic poem can convey so much. Well done!

I love the vivid imagery you use in this haiku! Your way of describing the scene, "quick waves", "bright moon", really brings the scene to life. Keep up the great work! I have no criticisms.
