Everlasting Darkness
Darkness consumes me
No one here to hear my screams
Calling out for help.
Small light in the dark
Faintly flickering at me
Smiling quite bright.
Grows bigger with each breath
Chasing away the shadows
Hope fills all darkness.
Three words, he loves me
And I think I love him too
Never felt better.
Something is wrong here
He’s not telling me something
Do I want to know?
My heart can’t handle
What he is about to say
It seems like a dream.
He says it’s cancer
Not a dream but a nightmare
I can’t lose him though.
It gets worse and worse
Out of my chest my heart goes
I can do nothing.
This soulless planet
Takes him from my grasping arms
All I feel is air.
The darkness returns
No one here to hear my screams
Calling out for help.
