Winter Haiku
Winter Sad and Cold
Alone I am stuck inside
This small humble home
Born amongst the snow
I shut my blue-eyes and dream,
A Barren Wasteland
How far the sun is
from my frostbit and frozen
skin. Where are you spring?
There, I think I see
In the dark clouds up above
The armor is cracked
Rays of warmth pour through
An ocean of light bathes us
Thawing the weary
Spring has breathed its warmth
On skin cold, cracked, and broken.
A breathe of relief.
