A Bloom
A silhouette dances in front of my eyes
a flickered light, replaced with shadows
in her eyes, all hope dies
she stands, frozen as cold as the gallows
hurt deepens her scars
she is forced to choose
she struggles with eternal wars
she loosens the noose
tears fall as a form of regret
for every step forward, she is pushed two back
every failure is a life threat
she backs away from the white light for black
she was a dead flower forced to bloom
whispers float above her
she dances in an empty room
for the first time she is sure
the meaning of her life is you
her old fears are a blur
you picked her up, and she flew
