Burning Bridges
i walk by you and your friends
in the school hallway.
i pretend that you don't even exist
even though i wish
you would just wrap your arms around me
hold me tight
and tell me everything would be alright.
as we pass on the stairs
your friends laugh
when i don't give you the time of day.
you believe what others say!
they're the ones getting in the way!
not me
but you with what you listen to.
the people who are telling you lies
are people you don't even know.
and then there's me.... begging for you not to go.
i gave you my all..
all my love...
and loved you in return.
i guess its finally time to let this bridge burn.
