Control
What does he look for in a girl like me?
What does he really want to see?
Does he want a sweetie that's pretty and kind?
One who leaves him alone with his sick, sick mind?
Perhaps he needs someone who desperately wants him,
Who would throw herself at a guy on an insubstantial whim?
He wants someone who will not question his words.
Someone best seen, someone not heard.
Well, I can't fit into whatever he's thinking.
Can't answer all his flirting and batting and winking.
I'm not a sweetie or a silent doll.
If he won't love me, I won't try at all.
I am my own person, independent and free.
No one, NO ONE, is gonna control me.
Count on that, baby.
