Controversy
They say obesity is pathetic
Anorexia is a trend
With all the talk of
What’s wrong and what’s right
It’s getting difficult to defend
Walk a street in Colorado
‘Homegrown happiness’
That’s their motto
How is happiness grown, they say
They seem to object to the idea either way
The killer sits in his cell
Tonight is the night they feed him well
His life is planned to end tomorrow
But due to his crimes there is no sorrow
An eye for an eye
Is how it’s justified
They lied
They want to see the evil people suffer
A death so violent and ultimately rougher
The headlines read
‘Gay marriage is accepted’
But tell me again, why was it rejected?
Over some book written millennia ago
Telling us things we didn’t know we needed to know
Open your eyes
Ignore the lies
Fight whatever ignorance is on the rise

this poem within itself is very controversial, but i believe writing should have the ability to spark a debate.
