Irony of Time
Do you know what they used to say about reading?
That it took away from life and its meaning.
Reading newspapers or books made us anti social;
And the human race was becoming less emotional.
Do you know what they say about reading today?
They say we should put our phones down, pick up a book, and let our minds play.
It's terribly ironic, isn't it really?
That we are told how to live and can't think freely.
Just because one frowns, doesn't mean they are down.
If a person wears a grin, their heart can still beat thin.
And we, as people, never seem to be able to win.
