Walking on Roses
Walking through the crowded field
With my heart sealed,
I heard a sort of humming.
But from where was it coming?
I turned my head to see
A beautiful man in front of me
He spoke to me with such a desire
I could feel my face on fire
We spoke for a short while
With every word I could not help but smile
But as I looked around
My face turned into a frown
The roses were slipping away
This has to be my worst day
Then I remembered I was no longer his nor him mine
No, I remember walking on roses all of the time.
