Ice Cream On 49th Street
At first you,
you melted me,
and you’ve blown my mind,
in two hours time.
But now I have the chance please,
right before it will freeze.
Put the dishes closer.
I see you so much better in my dreams.
Now we have no toppings to build,
and no one likes that.
We figured no.
We figured yes.
But first brush off you shoes on the ‘welcome’ mat.
(chorus)
Melt my heart, like ice cream.
Turn the corner.
Its cold but we don’t care.
Turn around, see everything you didn’t see.
Like ice cream it’s so sweet.
All you do is believe.
So let’s go get some on 29th Street.
Oh a oh oh a oh oh oh.
Sometimes you make me,
make me believe.
But when lighning strikes,
you leave.
No not even human acts,
will ever think of that.
It’s like a crime,
that you committed in three hours time.
But I still have my words,
my paper note.
With lines and wrinkles,
no it wasn’t a joke.
The leaves breeze by outside.
You look out the window,
and see the truth of me.
All the colors we cried,
all In four hours time.
We just lost all at the letter B,
it blew my mind.
You weren’t so opaque to me,
now everything I can clearly see.
You were a bomb in a birdcage,
wanting to be free.
We simply borrowed time.
It’s your opportunity to cry.
Now I’m free.
On 29th Street,
On 29th Street,
let’s get some ice cream on 29th street.
