Why is it every word I hear sounds like a lie?
Why every time I turn around, I hear whispers, wishing I’d just die.
Who to trust when everyone’s out to get you?
Whose help to take when they all want you dead?
Where to flee, hopefully, find some refuge?
But no where’s safe not even your own bed?

Eyes staring…
Teeth gnashing…
Doors closing…
Walls crashing…
Everywhere, watching you
In the silence, taking aim.
No where safe, even inside of you
There’s no escape from their wicked game.

I see them watching me, from all around the room.
Walls closing in, I cannot breathe; is this place to become my tomb?
Where to run when all the doors are closed and locked.
I’m on my own and yet never alone.
Forever to be followed, hunted and mocked.
How have I sinned, why can’t I atone?

Eyes staring…
Teeth gnashing…
Doors closing…
Walls crashing…
All around, stalking you
In the darkness, without a name.
No one there to come and save you,
They’ll never stop, they have no shame.

What should I do?
Can I fight back?
Or should I run,
And not attack?
They’re here right now.
They know my thought
I cannot win
I will be caught.
