Crying Soul
Tears like silver
Transparent feelings
Cries in my head
See how they bled
My flesh all red
With these tears that I bled
And you cry into the night
“Why?” and I say, “it’s alright”
and “this is the last time”
and it’s like firelight
a firefight
You can’t hurt me
Not yet anyhow
You’re nothing but a
Crying soul
What have you been told?
Tears like silver
Fear like gold
Cries in my head
My flesh stained red
With these tears that I’ve bled
And you cry in the night
“Baby, are you still alive?”
I can’t speak, can’t say “it’s alright”
I guess this was the last time
It’s like firelight
A firefight
You can’t hurt me
We’re both just souls anyhow
You’re nothing but the
Crying soul
What have you been told?
