By The Morning
Some might say it's love,
but I call it lust
What's so beautiful in the evening
by the morning turns to dust
The lights they gave us hope
but even those have now faded
What's so easy in the evening
has become complicated
The moon starts to fade
as light shines from the sun
What's so perfect in the evening
by the morning comes undone
The car slows down
as the engine starts to lag
What's so lively in the evening
by the morning's such a drag
The city life gets to people,
slowly driving them insane
What's so steady in the evening
by the morning starts to change
Things turn black and white
as the mood starts to shift
What's so normal in the evening
by the morning wont exist
