When My Guitar Gets Wet
The world can be rude
And things get misunderstood
And people can judge
Like it is their life
It's hard not to care
When they have so much to say
But my head spins around
Cause they say it's my fault
I guess I shouldn't believe in it
Cause I was right here
And I know what happened
When they couldn't see
And when my guitar gets wet
I wipe my tears away
I throw them away
So they don't come back again
My dear I've been here before
And it hurts a lot
But when my guitar gets wet
I know that it happened
I remember the words said
The very first day
I remember your smile
And how you looked at me
And now that I'm sitting here
I just can't believe
That you could care so much
You would leave me here
You let them get inside your head
You let them change your mind
Like it was nothing at all
And when my guitar gets wet
I wipe my tears away
I throw them away
So they don't come back again
My dear I've been here before
And it hurts a lot
But when my guitar gets wet
I know that it happened
I know you should be here with me
When I cry so hard
I know you should've held me
When I needed you much
I know that I hate
The tears on my guitar
But at least I can feel
That you were here a while
And when my guitar gets wet
I wipe my tears away
I throw them away
So they don't come back again
My dear I've been here before
And it hurts a lot
But when my guitar gets wet
I know that it happened
And when my guitar gets wet
I know that it happened
