Kathy's Tommy
We may be drowning, but I'm not afraid
There's a rhyme and a reason to this castle we've made,
And though the wind's sweeping out, and the tide's sweeping in
We're perfectly safe in the rushing and din.
This is how we were meant to be, slipped underneath
A great mountain of ocean, a great ocean of deep,
Though the wave's getting higher, I swear I can feel
A tangible magic where nothing is real
The sunshine has vanished, we're chafing our hands
While speaking in whispers of far-away lands,
About how when we grow up, we'll cover the earth
In glitter and sparkles of laughter and mirth
There's no sense to this moment of gasping or black
But the honest conclusion's I'm not going back,
You've taken me under, I've taken your hand
We're mystery incarnate with its head on the sand.
