Virgin Dressed in Black
She's a virgin dressed in black,
a failed attempt at disguising sin.
You see the bruises on her arm,
you wonder where she's been.
Follow her up the stairs.
She's a virgin dressed in black and she's wondering,
'Who cares?'
Who cares about the girl,
so innocent and sweet?
You know the world is crumbling beneath her feet.
She's a virgin dressed in black,
a failed attempt at disguising sin.
You miss her now,
as she tells you where she's been.
'I walked away,
to clear my head.
And found out,
I'd much rather be dead.'
You try to convince her the world needs her,
but the devil got the best of her.
She's the virgin dressed in black,
and she's gone.
She's long gone now.
