Now That It's Over
Her and I had our problems,
But we found a way to solve them.
Doesn't matter what came at us,
Overcoming it was a must.
Nothing would break us apart,
When we had each others heart.
That was months ago,
Before everything had changed.
Said she needed to go her own way,
Told her "I'm not stopping you"
Vanished in the middle of the night,
Woke up to an empty bedside.
No note on where she was headed,
The destination was least of my worries.
When would she be returning?
Because I miss her already.
She showed no signs that she was unhappy,
Somehow I feel it involves me.
I'm the only culprit,
So it has to be my fault.
Even if there's no one to blame,
I'd be first to sign my name.
Paid no attention to her,
Too busy figuring out my career.
How am I suppose to get her what she wants?
If she left without me knowing where she's gone.
Right now she should be here,
Instead she's who know's where trembling in fear.
I pin her disappearance on myself,
And I'm drowning in self-doubt.
Watching the weather channel to keep on track,
Looks like a ninety nine percent chance she won't becoming back.
Now that it's over,
I just wanna hold her.
I'd give up the world to see,
That little piece of Heaven looking back at me.
Now that it's over,
I just wanna hold her.
I've gotta live with the choices I made,
And I can't live with myself today.
I wonder if she still thinks about me?
She's probably moved on,
And I should be doing the same.
But it's hard swimming back to land,
When I hold her picture in my hand.
Her face appears in front of me,
Delusional, no that's her I see.
Reach out with arms wide open,
Pass straight through into the ocean.
Man I was sure that was her,
Turns out to be a mirage flying over.
Won't move on, won't even think to try,
Even with a million birds in the sky.
Flying slower losing altitude,
Where should I begin the search for you?
Spiraling faster to the ground,
I'll raid every town.
Non-stop search until you're found,
Somebdoy's bound to know if you were around.
I've taken it easy for too long,
And it's gotten me nowhere but deeper in wrong.
I'm seeing the side you saw,
Working my back up, so be it if I have to crawl.
I'll find you, I'll bring you back,
I'll give it all I got, I promise you that.
Now that it's over,
I just wanna hold her.
I'd give up the world to see,
That little piece of Heaven looking back at me.
Now that it's over,
I just wanna hold her.
I've gotta live with the choices I made,
And I can't live with myself today.
Can't sleep, can't breathe,
I need her back with me.
I'll change my ways, break my habits,
Been feeling dead for days, you know I mean it.
For my sake,
I hope you can forgive my mistake.
(Come back to me, I won't let you go again)
(Come back to me, I won't let you go again)
Come back to me,
I won't let you go again.
I'll make everything right,
From the smart remarks to the sobbing nights.
Trust me to fix this,
On a balcony under the stars with a kiss.
Now that it's over,
I just wanna hold her.
I'd give up the world to see,
That little piece of Heaven looking back at me.
Now that it's over,
I just wanna hold her.
I've gotta live with the choices I made,
And I can't live with myself today.
Now that it's over,
I just wanna hold her.
In my arms one more time...
