Only On The Outside
Another day, another ordinary day,
Same old stupid pain, never goes away.
She's all alone, lying on the floor,
Same old bolted door, every window closed.
No one understands just what she's feeling.
No one hears her screaming, no one sees the tears.
Cause on the outside, she just acts like everything is fine
They all walk past, she stands there in a whirlwind.
But on the inside, her world is crashing in before her eyes,
And no one stops to notice when she cries.
Stupid people, looking on the outside.
Another night, another frustrating night,
Get's home after 2 a.m., collapses everytime.
Wakes up alone, no one's called her phone,
Hasn't heard from him in who knows how long,
And what he doesn't know is that
She's falling, almost to the ground
It's gonna be too late, she'll be gone.
Cause on the outside, she just acts like everything is fine,
They walk past and she smiles and drops their gaze.
But on the inside, everything is crashing down again
And no one stops to notice anything.
Stupid people, looking on the outside.
3 a.m., walking on the sidewalk
The bottle slips
and teardrops,
mingle with the broken glass.
