The eye to my storm
Like a diamond in the rough
I saw sweet eyes,
There's an eye to every storm
and that night you were mine.
Through the night I would wonder
about the girl who settled my storm
but made my heart Thunder.
My heart beat harder than the rain against my face
so i kept looking back at you just in case
Making sure not to miss a single smile
so my heart would be sunny at least for awhile
The rain got louder as it hit the ground
Then it stopped and I heard the most beautiful sound
The wind, the thunder and the lightening was silent too
They were all being quiet so they could listen to you
Then my whole body seemed to melt
I held my breath because of what i felt
i closed my eyes because of what i heard
And the storm in my heart didn't say a word
Then the rain fell like teardrops from the sky
all the angels in heaven had started to cry
So there was no need to fear the storm that day
Because your lovely voice kept the tornadoes at bay.
