Just Wait
You never know
What goes on inside
You think that you
Are always right
And that you never need a guide
You think the world’s against you
When really that’s not true
You never thought that caring less
Would require so much energy
You never thought that you were really strong
Until an opportunity came along
And then you realized
You can’t do it all alone
Chorus:
But did you ask for help?
Did you sound a call?
Or did you lock your heart inside a bathroom stall?
Did you laugh when nothing was really funny at all?
Did you walk by yourself because you had no choice?
Cause you thought society ignored your voice
And inside you couldn’t face your fears
When even God couldn’t count your tears
Cause right then it seemed
That nothing would ever be great
But wait
Just wait
Verse 2
See you just got to look ahead
Know that you’re not perfect but it’s not over yet
Keep on believing carelessly
See you might be too open
You might be wrong
But don’t let others think that you’re not strong
See other can think what they like
But disregard what they say
And remember you’ll never please them anyway
Verse 3
So please remember to smile bright
To walk with care
And never lose that sight
Cause your outlook on life
Is so obvious to the world
Remember that you’ll always be fine
Because you’re too ambitious to be satisfied
And that you’re going places
Because you’re not living in the past
Don’t forget who you really are
But know that change isn’t too far
Keep on dreaming but know reality comes along with dreams too.
Please just don’t stop being you.
