Skyline
She makes me wonder if there's other life out there,
Maybe hiding in the darkness somewhere.
One thing I know is I'll never find another girl like her,
Even if I searched forever.
I love her way too much,
I'm beginning to miss our lips touch.
The last time that I saw her she whispered in my head,
And she said.
"I've always wanted to see the skyline,
Will you take me there sometime?
I wanna see the stars rise from the sun,
I want you to be the guy I've won."
And I promised her in time,
That I'd take her to see the skyline.
She couldn't believe when I said my words,
Coming from a guy that's been unheard.
I saw her face light up the night,
The stars so jealous they are in for a fight.
By morning the sun was scared to rise,
In a few moments she'd be alive.
Today is perfect to take her out,
Glide through the sky and wonder about.
She asks me "Why do the clouds whisper my name?"
I can only tell her "You have so much fame."
I catch her smile as the wind rushes through her hair,
I wonder if she knows how much I care?
As we soar she pulls me close to whisper in my ear,
Soft and sweet, she whispers so I can hear.
"I've always wanted to see the skyline,
Will you take me there sometime?
I wanna see the stars rise from the sun,
I want you to be the guy I've won."
And I promised her in time,
That I'd take her to see the skyline.
Hand in hand, let's watch the horizon,
Sink underneath the light blue ocean.
Spending this time with you, watching the earth try,
To reach up and touch the sky.
Fireworks of pink, orange, and blue,
I couldn't have asked for a better moment with you...
On this date I've kept my promise,
Here, let me show you this...
You said you wanted to see the skyline,
Now that you have, will you be mine?
I'll let you see the stars rise from the sun,
I'll be the guy that you have won.
I promised I would show you the skyline,
And it's exactly what I did this time.
