Stairway to Heaven
Your gonna follow your “true love”
Off a cliff someday
Thinking he will guide you to only
The safest places
Thinking he will bring you
To only happiness and joy
When all he's been doing all along
Is slowly drowning you with him
You thought you were keeping him up
But instead he pushed you down
For months he carried you
Up the stairway to heaven
So it only hurt more just when you fell
You let him carry you to the top
Only so he could push you off
So he could let you drop
You had too much faith in him
You were blinded by it all
You held his hand
Thinking that he would lead you
To some unforsaken land
You thought would be paradise
When he's actually leaving you to die
But you follow him because
Your blinded by his first impression
For months he carried you
Up the stairway to heaven
So it only hurt more just when you fell
You let him carry you to the top
Only so he could push you off
So he could let you drop
And even you knew that he'd drop you
But you let him carry you up the stairs anyways
You knew that right as you got to the top
He would just push you down
So why'd you waste that time
Letting him bring you there
For months he carried you
Up the stairway to heaven
So it only hurt more just when you fell
You let him carry you to the top
Only so he could push you off
So he could let you drop
Yet you call this happiness
Falling to the ground
Watching all your memories
Fall with you
Yet you don't make a sound
For months he carried you
Up the stairway to heaven
So it only hurt more just when you fell
You let him carry you to the top
Only so he could push you off
So he could let you drop
You were prepared for it all
You expected him to let go
But you can't say it didn't hurt
When he finally let you fall
For months he carried you
Up the stairway to heaven
So it only hurt more just when you fell
You let him carry you to the top
Only so he could push you off
So he could let you drop
You just can't bear to think that
He's not who you thought he was
So your still clinging to his shirt sleeve
Hoping he'll decide to pull you up
Just hoping he'll pull you back up
But guess what honey
Douchebags don't make the world go round
