Too Much To Ask For
(Chorus) What kind of words are there to say,
When every breath we take,
Is so pointless when it can be so easily taken away,
It's worse than physical pain,
My heart, it groans and aches,
Where is the goodness in life for goodness sakes?
Because life rains hard for everyone when death plagues
(1st Verse) I've never felt this way before,
My heart has been ripped and torn,
After all is said and done I'm empty at the core,
I'm clinging to what's left,
With every heavy breath,
Seconds pass as my tears reach the depths
(Chorus)
(2nd Verse) I'll clock the final hour,
Oh God our time is short,
One more day is way too much to ask for,
As time passes on,
The water's still running strong,
Machine's don't keep me running, they just prolong the pain
(Chorus)
(3rd Verse) I can't see through my tears,
No seeing, no sleeping, no breathing,
I can't stand and my heartbeat's beating,
So slow, slower than before,
Before, I could reach the shore,
But now I can scarcely break the surface
(Chorus)
(4th Verse) So send me on my way,
Tell me, what is one more day?
When weeks and months go on filled with pain,
When will this ever end?
This beautiful faith you lend,
Helps me but nothing saves me in the end
