Marigolds
The nights have been long alone
Nothing brighter than the moon
So tired of trying to go on
It's getting harder to stay home
I can no longer say that I am whole
More than anyone will ever know
I've gone as far as I can go
She said she can't take it anymore
That heart of hers is no longer gold
You went on in and took her world by storm
Ripped away the joy from her world
And left her with no one to hold
Except the darkness here in the cold
Sweeping away all of her Marigolds
All I can see are my tears that I try
Finding me anywhere I go in the night
If I know I'm going to fall down, why do I try?
No one ever knows why
And there's no way around the lies
You've told them all your life
