Gypsy Envy
I envy the gypsy
That can live so free
That can move on a whim
To wherever pleases him
I am my own fault
Keep my heart in a vault
Placing the world on ice
No longer a virtue, merely a vice
Screaming at the clouds
Look at me now
Entangled in good intentions
Pulled down by promises through lies
Seeking to rip away what covers my eyes
Atlas shrugged and I tried to take his place
The weight of the world now resting on me
Breathing in this thin cold air
Trying not to lose it all
But I am my own fault
Lost the code to the vault
Screaming at the clouds
Look at me now
You know I envy the gypsy
That can live so free
That can move on a whim
To wherever pleases him
Atlas shrugged and I tried to take his place
With the weight of the world resting on me
I breathe in deep this thin cold air
Forcefully I lose it all
And when all the clouds dissipate
And the lights faded from my face
I sang to the stars
And placed the world behind bars
