Who I Am
Sign me up for the circus, dress me up like a clown,
Paint a smile on my face except it will be a frown.
I'm not satisfied with my appearance,
But no matter how much I change, it makes no difference.
I will continued to be judged on the person I'm not,
Doesn't matter how much effort I contribute, people never change their thought.
I'm different and I will admit it,
I refuse to change for some lousy critic.
I am who I am,
Surviving in this overpopulated world with no plan.
I will conquer all the doubts people have,
Priceless expressions on their face will make me laugh.
I'm nothing more than a human too,
Struggling like most just to push through.
I know I have haters, but one day I'll obtain a fan,
And they will scream at the top of their lungs, "You taught me to be who I am!"
Cast me for a play, make me your lead actor,
My personality is original, it's a trait you can't manufacture.
Mix costumes and make-up, I'm willing to apply and wear them all,
Embarrassment has struck me before, I'm not afraid to face my downfall.
I can alter the outside of my appearance but the inside will remain the same,
I'd rather be an outcast in this world than coached into fame.
People call me pathetic and poor,
Their words don't even touch my core.
I became immune from the countless times I felt like this before,
Hovering above everyone else as they lie motionless on the floor.
I realized I don't need to stay here anymore,
I'm gonna travel the world and teach people how to be themselves, I'll share my lore.
