School Isn't For Me
You call it homework,
I call it trash.
You study for your SAT's,
I draw all over my math.
You pay attention in history,
I sleep it away.
While you're stuck in the past,
I'll move onto the next day.
You tell me I won't make it,
Take a seat, kickback and watch me.
I'll get everything I want,
Keep focused, and you will see.
School isn't for me,
I've never been one to waste a day and study.
The teachers rant on about my refusal to complete an assignment,
But when the sun is still up, playtime is remanent.
Sure, I suffer a lot of detentions,
Which I never attend and then get suspensions.
But that just ensures that I have a few days to be free,
My perception proves school isn't for me.
You make a study guide,
I construct a paper airplane.
You plan for the next days test,
While I play with an origami crane.
You're solving for x in algebra,
I have no problem at all.
You'll waste countless hours attempting to find the solution,
While I'm at a party having a ball.
Curse my ways, tell me I will never get out of this cage,
So far I haven't let myself down.
I'll enjoy seeing your face when they call my name on stage,
Applause's are welcomed, but I prefer to see your speechless faces make no sound.
I'm packing up and leaving this state,
Moving onto much bigger things.
Thanks to everyone who showed me a little bit of hate,
You helped me achieve everything.
School isn't for me,
