Mystery Girl
There she goes again, passing me by,
I don't know her name, but I wish she'd say hi.
I see her everywhere I turn,
We haven't spoken once, and it makes my heart burn.
I daydream through my classes all day,
Contemplating exactly what I want to say.
My tongue's tied and my eyes just stare,
As this beautiful goddess walks by and flips her hair.
Mystery girl,
Why won't you come into my world?
This face you look past,
Not noticing this frown is just a mask.
All these feelings I conceal so well,
I really want you to kiss me, I promise I won't tell.
My heart is incinerating at two-hundred degrees,
Please just say a word so your breath will cool it down with a breeze.
I don't know how much more I can take,
I'm like an iceberg about to break.
Oh, mystery girl, talk to me please,
Why do you have to be such a tease?
She's in my biology class and I can't pay attention,
I lose focus on the plants 'cause I'm longing for her affection.
Coming up with the lamest excuses just to converse with her,
It's awkward and tragic, I feel like a failure.
I search for her presence at lunch but she's nowhere to be found,
Listening for her voice, I don't hear its lovely sound.
Dragging my body to my next class,
I bump into her in the hallway but she scurries off real fast.
Mystery girl,
Why won't you come into my world?
This face you look past,
Not noticing this frown is just a mask.
All these feelings I conceal so well,
I really want you to kiss me, I promise I won't tell.
My heart is incinerating at two-hundred degrees,
Please just say a word so your breath will cool it down with a breeze.
I don't know how much more I can take,
I'm like an iceberg about to break.
Oh, mystery girl, talk to me please,
Why do you have to be such a tease?
I wrote a note and left it on her desk,
In a few minutes I'd see her next.
My face turns red as she's about to read what I wrote,
She looks my way and I begin to choke.
But to my dismay she crumbles up the paper,
There just went my heart, it's dead thanks to her.
Mystery girl,
Why won't you come into my world?
This face you look past,
Not noticing this frown is just a mask.
All these feelings I conceal so well,
I really want you to kiss me, I promise I won't tell.
My heart is incinerating at two-hundred degrees,
Please just say a word so your breath will cool it down with a breeze.
I don't know how much more I can take,
I'm like an iceberg about to break.
Oh, mystery girl, talk to me please,
Why do you have to be such a tease?
