Terrified To Death
Lizzy, calm down, you're fine,
You don't need to be scared.
But you're scared of moving on.
From the memories we made,
Life must continue, acknowledge it needs you.
And nobody can replace your smile,
It has such a unique style.
But when I listen for your heart,
It's not beating for me like before...
And we can't say that we're alright today,
(I can sense a new man)
He's probably kissed your lips and stole your breath.
(All apart of his devious plan)
I hope he doesn't get too attached,
And ask my girl for her heart, she'll give it away.
Because, I don't want to be replaced with someone new,
And for her to fret.
Though I'll fret.
And I'll be fine on my own,
But on my own I'll be terrified to death.
You are everything I want,
All I could ever need.
And the worst part is,
You're letting my heart bleed.
Because I can't sit here alone,
While you're out there freed.
Even though I oppose your actions,
Your mind is something I can't lead.
I understand I should be moving on,
I just keep going in circles,
'Cause I need you.
And we can't say that we're alright today,
(I can sense a new man)
He's probably kissed your lips and stole your breath.
(All apart of his devious plan)
I hope he doesn't get too attached,
And ask my girl for her heart, she'll give it away.
Because, I don't want to be replaced with someone new,
And for her to fret.
Though I'll fret.
And I'll be fine on my own,
But on my own I'll be terrified to death.
La-la-la, la-la-la,
La-la-la-ah, whoa.
So here comes the last time this year,
That I'll make contact.
But I have this fear.
You won't remember me at all and I'll shed a tear,
Because I'm so far and he's so near.
And I'm positive that I should just give up,
But you know that you not responding won't be enough.
I can't stand being pushed away...
And we can't say that we're alright today,
(I can sense a new man)
He's probably kissed your lips and stole your breath.
(All apart of his devious plan)
I hope he doesn't get too attached,
And ask my girl for her heart, she'll give it away.
Because, I don't want to be replaced with someone new,
And for her to fret.
Though I'll fret.
And I'll be fine on my own,
But on my own I'll be terrified.
And I'll be fine on my own,
But on my own I'll be terrified.
And I'll be fine on my own,
Yeah, but on my own I'll be terrified to death...
