Not A Fairy Tale Ending
This might be a little blunt,
But I gotta say it.
You're something I used to want,
Now I just wanna forget.
The day we first made contact,
Was once my favorite memory.
Now you changed the way you act,
And this thing we have is no longer easy.
It's time to close the book,
There's not another chapter left.
I gave and you took,
Our ending you need to accept.
Wake up!
This is reality.
You can't love!
If you're asleep.
You read and get lost,
In a made-up story.
It's time you forgot,
Everything you read under that tree.
Open your eyes,
You need to stop pretending.
We will recite our goodbyes,
Because this is not a fairy tale ending.
We can't rewrite what's already wrote,
Stop wasting time and ink.
Words we already spoke,
Make you stop and think.
Every story must have a conclusion,
Including the one we got.
There's no other solution,
Accept it and stop.
It's time to close the book,
There's not another chapter left.
I gave and you took,
Our ending you need to accept.
Wake up!
This is reality.
You can't love!
If you're asleep.
You read and get lost,
In a made-up story.
It's time you forgot,
Everything you read under that tree.
Open your eyes,
You need to stop pretending.
We will recite our goodbyes,
Because this is not a fairy tale ending.
Fast asleep you shall remain,
In a locked tower.
Because you're not worth the pain,
Of fighting through the thorns of a flower.
You'll stay trapped inside that castle,
As a house maid.
It's too much of a hassle,
To rescue a slave.
It's time to close the book,
There's not another chapter left.
I gave and you took,
Our ending you need to accept.
Wake up!
This is reality.
You can't love!
If you're asleep.
You read and get lost,
In a made-up story.
It's time you forgot,
Everything you read under that tree.
Open your eyes,
You need to stop pretending.
We will recite our goodbyes,
Because this is not a fairy tale ending.
No, this is not a fairy tale ending.
(I wouldn't be leaving if it was)
No, this is not a fairy tale ending.
(I would be staying if it was)
No, this is not a fairy tale ending.
(Happy ever after is just a myth)
Because this is not a fairy tale ending...
