Wish you’d appear,
Everyone huddled around a TV,
No one working,
Telling them to get back to work,
I steal a glimpse of the screen,
It can’t be,
Just for a second from Heaven my tears would be gone,
I skid to a stop and find total chaos
Why did the meeting have to be today?
I told you not to go,
I scream out for you, but get no reply,
I wish you were here,
A victim is rolled by on a gurney,
His leg is gone, blown off,
Of all the places,
Why Oklahoma City?
Why this building?
Why today?
I miss you more each second I breathe
