Overwhelmed
And I think I’m gonna stick around for awhile, so you’re not alone,
5:13 p.m. you came into this cruel word without a sound,
They whisked you away,
Wouldn’t tell me anything,
If I could just hear your pretty voice I don’t think I need to see at all,
They put you in that box,
Stuck you with needles and wires,
So many machines for such a tiny life,
And every breath that is in your lungs is a tiny little gift to me,
I sit beside your little dome,
Separate from this world,
I can only watch as your heart grows weaker,
Then I come home no one to wrap my arms around,
I can't take it anymore, I open up your box,
I don't care what they say,
I'm going to hold you before you're gone.
