Lay Still
Set me as a seal upon your heart,
Panic,
Everyone rushing to save themselves,
Not caring about the others,
Set me as a seal upon your soul,
An old couple lay,
Knowing it’s no use,
As strong as death is love,
In the chaos they lay,
Through the screams and shouts
Everyone vying for a life boat that isn’t there,
Unyielding as the grave,
They feel this, the “Unsinkable” vessel tip,
Water rushes up around them,
Still they lay,
Nothing will quench its flame,
For they will die as they lived,
Together,
Nothing will quench its flame
