Another Week
We met on a Monday and it didn't take long,
Before we were swapping numbers on Tuesday afternoon.
Then came Wednesday and you were already making plans,
The first time we touched was Thursday when we hugged.
Friday night arrived and I got there early,
I waited around until Saturday morning.
You never showed and that gave me tears,
I stayed in bed all day Sunday because you left me hurt.
It was just another week,
Of being led on, let down.
By a girl I thought I had a chance with,
But stood me up, that's nothing new.
The blame is on me, I'm such a fool,
Should've thought twice before accepting your offer.
It's okay, it's alright!
I made it through.
What can I say?
It was just another week.
Monday rolled around and you apologized,
On Tuesday you said it was just a last minute emergency.
Wednesday came along and you asked for another chance,
By holding my hand on Thursday in class.
Friday came up and I was so excited,
I waited for you too show up until I realized it was Saturday.
I got stood up once again,
So Sunday was my grieving day.
Monday appeared and I told you off,
You walked in Tuesday with a face full of tears.
And on Wednesday you found out,
Your other boy was trading you on Thursday.
Friday came, you asked for a last chance,
I said yes, but left you wait until Saturday.
Sunday arrived and you cried all day.
How does it feel to be stood up?
It was just another week,
Of being led on, let down.
By a girl I thought I had a chance with,
But stood me up, that's nothing new.
The blame is on me, I'm such a fool,
Should've thought twice before accepting your offer.
It's okay, it's alright!
I made it through.
What can I say?
It was just another week.
