I want you to know I love you
Day after day becomes year after year,
as one guy becomes many guys.
Excitement becomes desperation,
The urge only becomes stronger.
Out of many, the one became you,
to have you as a best friend means just the same as having you as a boyfriend.
I want you to give me attention, to give me love.
To be happy when you see me, and to miss me when you don't.
But that won't happen, the most I can be is a normal friend.
I'm too socially awkward, especially around you.
I'm gay and you're straight. But it was never about the physical attraction. It was always about me just wanting you to be happy around me.
To learn to love, I also learned to hate.
I become jealous when I see you happier around others.
I get angry when I don't get your full attention.
I get bitter when I suppress these emotions of love.
And most importantly, I get sad when I know I can never confess my love to you.
If you knew how I felt, you'd be afraid of me like the other guys, won't you??
If I told you every word I wanted to say, you'd probably regret ever being nice to me right????
Loving someone isn't wrong. Embracing that love isn't wrong. But if I ever forced you to love me... That would be wrong.
I'm gay and I know how to love and how to love the right way, so I will be proud of myself because I deserve it.
