Meaning of Being
Why do clouds look like clouds?
This is a question of being.
A testimony of living.
They don't look like bees, or trees, or knees.
They all have a different purpose.
No cloud looks the same, no cloud moves the same.
They all have their own pace.
Just like us.
What does it mean to “be”?
Are you a result of other peoples' actions or do you have integrity and your own way of living?
Don't try and act like who you're not.
The person you are imitating has a different purpose.
Its not yours.
Clouds that take objects shapes are not original.
They are trying to fit in.
Like a puzzle, not all pieces can be the same.
You'd never get the picture.
Be like a Storm Cloud!
Loud, not taken back by the winds of adversity, free from sameness.
Answer the question:
Why do clouds look like clouds?
There are easy answers. Its scientific.
But the question: What does it mean to be?
This is not scientific,
but something you have to figure out for yourself.

My little brother asked one night during dinner, "Why do clouds look like clouds"? I took this question to heart and thought it over in literary terms while everyone else thought about it in scientific terms. A few days later, I was inspired to write this poem.
