Reverence
I don't even recognize you.
I passed you in the hall and didn't even see you.
You've changed your appearance.
When I do see you, your expression is of reverence. A feel of mourn.
I pass you in slow motion.
I use to find you in every crowd. Now I don't know you at all.
Your face is down. Avoiding eye contact.
Blending into the crowd. Trying to be unseen.
You have a different presence.
I feel you passing by.
Its like a slow sad song.
You still stand out in a way.
I walk down normally. Not paying attention to my surroundings or people near me.
I notice a familiar sense.
I catch an eye. I look away.
Then realize that that was you.
Gone forever.
Just like the dead.
My thoughts of you and us are looked at with a reverence, a respect, and stored away for another time.
When I look at you its like mourning a death.
What we had was great and shouldn't of fallen this fast.
