Scenery is nothing more than poetry.
Love is nothing more than chemicals.
'Cause fairy tales are just scribbled pages filled with happy endings and little white lies.
One person can make a difference, but a crowd can make a change.

Watch the sun rise up once more,
Notice your phone still goes to voicemail.
It's so harder than before,
You're lying on the floor,
Gasping for air to inhale.
Locked up in the bathroom,
The water running so nobody can hear you.
You're feeling all alone, I can't believe you went through...
I just want to apologize,
I wasn't around to be your superhero.
And I apologize,
I wasn't there to save you.
From your bad habits to your lonely minutes,
I should have been there so you could beat this.
And what a perfect picture it would have been,
If I was your savior.
It's just a simple phase, I promise it'll go away,
The depression will never stay.
It hurts to see you suffer,
I wish there was some other,
Way that I could help out you.
I see your face appear in my dream,
Your name is all I wanna scream.
I'm feeling all alone, I can't believe you went through...
I just want to apologize,
I wasn't around to be your superhero.
And I apologize,
I wasn't there to save you.
From your bad habits to your lonely minutes,
I should have been there so you could beat this.
And what a perfect picture it would have been,
If I was your savior.
There's so much that I owe,
And I'll never get a chance to speak.
You watched me go, should have let you know,
That in my eyes, you were never weak...
I just want to apologize,
I wasn't around to be your superhero.
And I apologize,
I wasn't there to save you.
From your bad habits to your lonely minutes,
I should have been there so you could beat this.
And what a perfect picture it would have been,
If I was your savior...

This song was written for one of my closest friends who is constantly suffering from depression. I wasn't always around to help her through it, but I'm doing my best to help her now. For everyone out there who is suffering from depression, bipolar, anxiety, whatever your disorder may be, this song is to remind you that you're not alone. Never give up.
