Change Your Ticket
She's packing her bags, leaving tonight,
Heading out on the very next flight.
I said some things and I didn't really mean them,
Had an argument, now we have a problem.
No matter what we do,
We can always work this through.
I don't want you to go,
I just want to let you know...
Give me just one minute,
So I can make this right.
Let me change your ticket,
Don't hop on that next flight.
I can treat you better,
I can make you see.
That you are my forever,
And that's what we're gonna be.
So, baby, I hope you're running late,
And that you just rethink it.
Before you walk through that gate,
Let me change your ticket...
You got all your stuff settled in the taxi,
As you look out at me from the backseat.
Wish there was a way I could change this day,
Find a solution to make you stay.
Tell me, what can I do?
To get my message through?
I don't want you to go,
I just want to show...
Give me just one minute,
So I can make this right.
Let me change your ticket,
Don't hop on that next flight.
I can treat you better,
I can make you see.
That you are my forever,
And that's what we're gonna be.
So, baby, I hope you're running late,
And that you just rethink it.
Before you walk through that gate,
Let me change your ticket...
And as she walks through the airport corridor,
I feel my heart drop to the floor.
She's got her suitcase and ticket in hand,
Waiting for her flight to land.
But right before she's about to board,
I scream her name with my familiar chord.
She turns around thinking it was a voice inside her head,
That's when I walked over and I said:
Please give me just one minute,
So I can make us right.
Let me change your ticket,
Don't hop on that next flight.
I know I can treat you better,
I wanna make you see.
That you and I are forever,
And that's exactly what we're gonna be.
And, baby, I know you're not running late,
But I want you to just rethink it.
Before you walk through that gate,
Let me change your ticket...
