The Evergreen Book Poem
Oh, speak of the Evergreen,
Always heard of, never seen.
Journey long, and end up home,
Otherwise, forever roam
The everlasting forest bright,
Where golden glow defeats the night.
Always heard of, never seen,
You speak of the Evergreen.
Enter young, and exit old,
Come in weak, go out bold.
Summers green, and winters long
We will sing the ten year song
Always heard of
Found by young
Told by all the elder tongues
In the place yet unseen
Open your eyes to the Evergreen
The Evergreen, the Evergreen,
Always heard of, never seen.
Under branch, leaf, and shadow,
Lurks a horrible, dreadful sorrow
Something so dark, it is essence of Fear
And beware, please, never go near
Lest you trip and fall forever
Lacking Life's untold treasure
Mysterious paths now await
So join me, join me at the gate
That leads to bravery, trickery, and grief
And also, also a great relief
For in this place you will find
All of society left behind
A place to grow, a place to discover
A place to meet one another
So don't be afraid, don't shy away
For many things await today
Always heard of
Found by young
Told by all the elder tongues
In the place yet unseen
Open your eyes to the Evergreen

This poem was written as a song that people sing to their children before they are taken to the fantasy world of Whajhiem, otherwise known as the Land of the Evergreen. When I first wrote this, I had no intentions of creating a book along with it, but I became inspired later on, the more I thought about it.
