Broken Home
I need some tips
On how I’m supposed to do this
I need some advice
But there’s nothing written in the sky
God turns away
Every single day
How am I supposed to go on?
All I know
Is a broken home
Can someone please show me the road
Show me my way back home
All I’ve ever seen
Is an empty sky
Waiting for me to arrive
This is my broken home
(This is my broken home)
Tears will fall
And I’m the one behind it all
The pain is written in my face
But no one looks past my perfect place
Step out and look me in the eye
See my broken sky
Broken promises lay on the floor
Broken hearts line up the door
It’s a perfect place for a broken soul
Yet I call it home
Screaming is written in the walls
And insults shouted down the halls
Never going anywhere
Or be able to move on anymore
I need someone to see
This broken home
All I’ve ever seen
Is an empty sky
Waiting for me to arrive
This is my broken home
(This is my broken home)
Tears will fall
And I’m the one behind it all
The pain is written in my face
But no one looks past my perfect place
Step out and look me in the eye
See my broken sky
You think everything’s fine
Until you step out in the light
And see my broken past
It’s not perfect
But you’re worth it
So take my hand
And help me fix this broken home
All I’ve ever seen
Is an empty sky
Waiting for me to arrive
This is my broken home
(This is my broken home)
Tears will fall
And I’m the one behind it all
The pain is written in my face
But no one looks past my perfect place
Step out and look me in the eye
See my broken sky
Standing on the outside it looks fine
But come a little closer to the light
