Day and Night
Behind my curtains drift the sad gray sky;
Yet, my phone’s weather app does not agree.
I long for the sun shining bright and high.
Looks like I will have to wait until three.
Finally, it is twenty past the hour;
the sun has awoken from its long rest.
Children play around the blossomed flowers.
They frolic till the sun sets in the West.
The dark black sky like an empty canvas,
embedded with countless, bright, shining stars.
Their light eliminating the darkness.
People all over marveling afar.
Again, the blazing sun rises from the East,
but the heat is a formidable beast.
