The Devil

Three shadows of death invaded the sky,

They whisper out loud for the boundless ban,

The astray souls’ last chance to rectify,

For the legitimate trial began.

If you are a con or gracious mortal,

If you are a queen or street ornament,

Beware of The Fallen Angel’s portal,

The last train to the sinner tournament.

The rightful God is radiating black,

Furious that his slaves had betrayed him,

The Primary Creature fought for their slack,

To reward, he jailed in a place of dim.

The Only Leader has blooded the fraud,

Now all the lands are under his control,

The trial ended and so the humans fought,

But no man honored The Dark Angel’s soul.

Lone on his throne, at last, The Devil grins,

Now he is The God, and The God is him.

This is the product of me reading one page of Inferno by Dante Alighieri.
