Them.
Through the ripe meadow I traveled quickly,
the darkest forest looming at my back.
For the secrets it had guarded so jealously,
now belonged to me and all of my pack.
For they all were cruel, they hunted my kind,
and tortured and twisted our forest.
For though can see, to life they are blind,
and they destroy it to make their new nest.
But now I had seen their weak and their old,
I knew the dark passage through their lair.
We knew now to take them in winter’s cold,
as we would be shot if the fight was fair.
Now soon the forest would be ours again,
for we would kill the plague, the scourge, the men.
